While working with one of the leading travel agencies in Bahamas, we together with our client spotted an opportunity to boost their profits by increasing ROAS (Return On Ad Spend) from 7 to 15+.
Immediately we set to work on the summer sale campaign, at the same time segmenting accounts and campaigns by brand awareness, evergreen acquisition, and seasonal promotions types.

We started by building awareness with a broad Bahamian audience. It divided this audience into two segments so that it could adapt ad creative to ensure that they had maximum appeal for whoever saw them. The two broad groups were: people aged 18–35, who were interested in nature and urban culture, and people of all ages who were interested in travel and long weekends. They saw feel-good video ads and ads in Stories with inspirational destination images that were relevant to their audience group.
Then, to drive traffic to the website and encourage people to actively explore the possibilities for their next bahamian adventure, We used attention-grabbing link ads and carousels with a clear call to action. These ads were seen by interest-based audiences, as well as by Custom Audiences and lookalike audiences of people who had visited the website. The ad creative was customised to audiences by interest or, in the case of the website Custom Audience, by the themes and activities on the pages they had visited.
We used automatic placements feature to show the ads to people in placements across Facebook, Instagram and Audience Network that were most likely to result in a landing page view, which was set as the campaign objective.
This rapid ROAS rise was built on fast, frequent and honest communication with our client. Smart cooperation enabled both parties to play to their strengths; while they focused on brand awareness, we fired up Facebook and set the algorithm in motion. Our intimate knowledge of campaigns, teamed with a rigorous monitoring and testing regime, got the right ads in front of the right audience at the perfect time.
